Journey Home

On the way back from our Dunedin surf trip in milton I've always looked at  this broken down building and wondered whats inside, what it once was. Its quite large with smashed windows and grass growing out the roof. It looked like something from the 1920s.

Camera Bags: Dakine Sequence vs F-stop Tilopa

I've recently been wanting a bit more from my Dakine Sequence Bag so after some time considering I've also invested in a F-stop Tilopa. Is it now my perfect camera bag?

Spoke Magazine #44

Spoke Magazine brought out the most recent 'hurt' issue. It should be in stores very soon so keep ya eyes peeled. I've got a shot in the gallery section of Pete McInally, He's been grittin' his teeth hearing his son brag about my last shot of his son in Spoke.

Upgrades for the PocketWizard flex/TT5?

I've had the PocketWizard flex TT5s for quite some time now. I totally dig them but there's somethings I'd love to see added to them though. Skip the mini TT1, the size is cool but I want the full distance and features. Unless they totally reduce the price I'm not interested.
These aren't necessarily coming out unless I can see into the future but more towards what I'd like in the next tt5 II or whatever it maybe called.

Excuse some sketchy concepts on photoshop

Gorge Road Jump Park season opening jam

Another summer has arrived with the Gorge Road Jump park now open. The beats were cranking along with the sausages crackling. The crowds rolled in with beers in hand for the park jam.

Australia bike shoot/tourist time

So I'm back from Australia. Wow it was hot 37 degrees compared from a snowy Queenstown. I was over there to shoot some mountain biking which was super fun. I also had a few days to go after to get pictures of the city.

Ruby Mae - If I was a hippie

Late one Saturday night last week I decided rather to tan all day long and drink alongside the pool, well maybe that whats I was hoping would happen on my Sunday, instead to get out and make something creative.
I gave a call to a good friend Ruby-Mae and asked if she'd like to help make a music video aiming to do it all in one day. Pretty much most of it all was filmed that day. I was all about trying to keep everything super simple and get the best result, so minimal equipment and locations to go with idea. It changed midway through the day rather than a staged scenes to further express her fun personality.
She's a young local girl here in Queenstown and has a lot of potential. This is here first recording and anything alike and she needs as much support as she can so it'd be great to share around.

Enough talking so have a look!

All was filmed on the Canon 5DII, 50mm f/1.2L, 70-200mm f/2.8L IS.
Locations were in and around Queenstown NZ and might I add it was still winter last week when we were filming.

Hopefully we some more of this up and comer.
